TH Estate Wines new assistant winemaker
–TH Estate Wines, located in the Willow Creek AVA of Paso Robles, has welcomed Phillip LaMontagne as the new assistant winemaker. LaMontagne first joined TH Estate as a harvest intern in 2015, after which he stayed on to help in the cellar. He has worked three full harvests with the Hoages before being promoted to assistant winemaker.

In 2016, LaMontagne earned a BS from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, with his degree in Wine and Viticulture and a concentration in Enology. He will assist Jennifer and Terry Hoage in overseeing all winemaking operations, including, managing cellar staff and interns, directing winemaking protocol, working with growers, and helping oversee sensory evaluation and blending.
He will not only be working with TH Estate grown fruit, but also with fruit sourced for the new District 8 label and the Decroux label, which focuses on cool-climate Pinot Noir.
TH Estate Wines, formerly known as Terry Hoage Vineyards, is a producer of premium Rhone style estate wines, and also the home to their new Decroux label of cool climate Pinot Noir.
