Thanksgiving for Paso Robles hosts 41st annual community feast
Event to serve more than 1,500 free meals on Nov. 27
– Thanksgiving for Paso Robles will host its 41st annual community Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 27 at Centennial Park, 600 Nickerson Road. The free, sit-down meal is planned and hosted entirely by volunteers and funded 100 percent through community donations.
This year’s event aims to serve more than 1,500 meals to local residents from noon to 2 p.m. Guests will be served a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pumpkin pie. Everyone is invited to attend, and no reservations are required.
A limited number of to-go meals will be available for pickup beginning at 3 p.m. at Centennial Park. Home delivery is also available for residents who are homebound. To request delivery, visit thanksgivingforpasorobles.com or call (805) 239-4137 and provide a name, phone number, delivery address, and number of meals requested. The deadline for delivery requests is noon on Monday, Nov. 24. Delivery confirmations will be sent by phone or email before Thanksgiving Day.
The event relies entirely on community support. Donations help cover the cost of food, supplies, and logistics to ensure that no one in Paso Robles goes without a meal. More than 250 volunteers are needed between Monday, Nov. 24, and Thursday, Nov. 27, to help with meal preparation, serving, deliveries, and cleanup. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, and those working in the kitchen must be 16 or older.
Thanksgiving for Paso Robles is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that has provided free Thanksgiving dinners to local residents for 41 years. For more information, to donate, or to volunteer, visit thanksgivingforpasorobles.com.
