—Hundreds of local adults on the Central Coast recently had the opportunity to visit a Hemp and Cannabis Fair, at the Alex Madonna Expo Center. Guests were all smiles and pleasantly surprised walking into the expo, struck by the strong skunky and earthy smell. Providing public exposure and education, The Hemp & Cannabis Fair is a traveling Expo that aims to further the normalization of cannabis, and raise awareness for industrial hemp globally by providing local exposure, education and a celebration of all things Cannabis.

The Hemp & Cannabis Fair – or “THC Fair” made its stop in San Luis June 9 & 10. This consumer expo focused on celebrating cannabis and industrial hemp, by featuring a number of local businesses, and promoting education in a smoke-free place. Family run local growers, suppliers and passionate individuals joined together for a day of all things green and sticky. Artisan glassblowers, creative and unique vendors and suppliers from around the state participated in creating a fun weekend for all. This is one of the first cannabis expos to be held in the area, highlighting smoking accessories, horticulture and growing supplies, cbd products, topical rubs, delivery services and they plan to return again next year.

THC Fair brought together local shops, horticulture and hemp-based products, along with national brands to make this a one-stop destination for anyone curious about hemp or cannabis. A series of lectures offered insights from experts in a wide variety of fields, including medicinal uses, growing & harvesting techniques, cooking and much more.

“We are excited to share everything needed to grow, process and enjoy cannabis in one amazing expo!” said Naomi Forkash, the Director of the Fairs. “We see an increasingly wide demographic of attendees as it becomes more universally accepted to discuss cannabis use. We feel fortunate to be able to provide a safe, educational and FUN place to explore cannabis.”

The Hemp & Cannabis Fair took place in San Luis Obispo, June 9&10 at the Alex Madonna Expo Center.
