Of course, Frankie Dettori is one of the most renowned jockeys in the UK, having secured many victories throughout his career. Although he was born in Italy, he quickly established a name for himself in the United Kingdom by becoming the first teenager since Lester Piggott to ride 100 winning races in one season. On top of this, in 1996 Dettori won seven out of seven races on a single day of the Royal Ascot Festival. In a performance that would be remembered for a long time to come.

In addition, Lester Piggott must be mentioned on the list of great jackets in the UK. Before his late retirement, this jockey started in the realm of horse racing when he was young, allowing him a long time to master the skill. Not only was he able to ride over 100 winners in one season, but he also secured victory at just 18 years old in the Epsom Derby which would set the precedent for his long-standing successful career. He went on to win 9 runs of the Epsom Derby as well as winning the Ascot Gold Cup 11 times, the July Cup 10 times and the St. Leger Stakes 8 times. Despite being taller than many of the jockeys he rode alongside, Piggott was able to build a career that made many envious.
