The Paso Robles Historical Society seeking volunteers
–The Paso Robles Historical Society is seeking volunteers for some interesting and exciting positions.
Anyone who likes greeting and helping the public, assisting with historical research and helping with special events is invited to apply.
The volunteer positions are for docents and research room volunteers:
- Docents greet and assist visitors to the Carnegie Museum, answer questions about the exhibits, help in the gift shop and with gift shop sales, answer the telephone, open and close the museum and a variety of other tasks. Must be able to learn to operate a cash register and process credit cards. Docents work in pairs from three to four hours per shift. No previous experience is needed.
- Research volunteers are needed Tuesday and Thursday mornings to assist with research requests, basic filing, computer data input, organizing the collection of old newspapers and maps, and special events.

The Paso Robles Historical Society is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, located in the Carnegie Museum at 800 12 Street, in the Downtown City Park, Paso Robles, CA. The museum is open Tuesday and Thursday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sun 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; closed Mondays, Wednesdays and all major holidays.
The mission of the El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society is to collect and preserve photographs, documents, and publications related to the Paso Robles area and its citizens, and to promote a fuller knowledge of local history through educational efforts within the community.
