Thousands attend Best of the West in Santa Margarita

–Antique tractors, trains, planes, gas engines and military vehicles drew thousands of people to the Santa Margarita Ranch over the weekend for the Best of the West Antique Equipment Show.

Anita Arlett, Grand Chival Carriage Rides.

Tractors dating back to the early 1900’s bounced along the fields for people to admire. Grand Chival Carriages provided free rides around the ranch in a horse drawn buggy. The Disneyland steam train chugged on a big oval around the ranch, providing rides to train lovers and some who had never ridden the rails.

The event is presented by Paso Robles Pioneer Day, Historic Santa Margarita Ranch, and the Rossi Foundation.
Best of the West Antique Equipment Show is over for this year, but it will be back next year on Memorial Day weekend at the Santa Margarita Ranch.
