Three arrested for drug, theft charges 

–37-year-old Joaquin Martin Ferraiz III of Arroyo Grande, 37-year-old Sean Kilby Witsaman Reinhardt of Creston, and 37-year-old Monica Menchaca of Nipomo were arrested Saturday for charges including theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of narcotics.

On Sat. Dec. 16th, at approximately 1352 hrs, officers responded to Miner’s Ace Hardware, 510 Atascadero Rd, in Morro Bay, in regards to a theft in progress. A store employee had observed the above suspect obtain property and leave the store without paying for the property. The employee contacted Morro Bay Police Department and provided updated information as the suspect fled the area.

Officers arriving on scene located the suspect as he was attempting to leave the area in a vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop. Upon contacting the suspect, officers learned the vehicle had been reported stolen out of San Luis Obispo. Suspect Ferraiz III was arrested without incident and additional stolen property from the business was located inside the suspects’ vehicle and recovered.

During the investigation additional stolen property was located inside the vehicle, identifying an additional victim out of the Lompoc area.

Suspect Ferraiz III was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled narcotic substance. Suspect Ferraiz III was arrested and booked into SLO County jail on charges of driving a stolen vehicle, petty theft, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During this investigation two additional subjects were located near the business who were traveling with suspect Ferraiz III. Sean Reinhardt and Monica Menchaca, were contacted as part of this investigation and found to be under the influence of a controlled narcotic substance. Both Reinhardt and Menchaca were arrested without incident and booked into SLO County jail on the charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
