car crash

Driver braked for animal running onto the road, report says

–Three North County residents were involved in a car accident that occurred Friday night, at approximately 8 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol.

Anthony Elisarraras, a 28-year-old San Miguel resident, was driving a 2007 Toyota Scion onto the Spring Street onramp to enter Highway 101 when he braked to stop for an animal that ran into the road. Paso Robles resident Alicia Dameron, 26, was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion southbound on the Highway 101 onramp behind Elisarraras, and failed to stop in time, striking the bumper of Elisarraras’ vehicle, a CHP report says.

A third vehicle was involved, a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by 54-year-old Paso Robles resident Melissa Graves. Graves was also not able to break in time and struck Dameron’s car from behind.

Graves complained of pain to her forearm after the accident. Dameron and Elisarraras were uninjured.

Drugs and or alcohol are not considered a factor in this collision. This collision is currently under investigation by the Templeton CHP Office.
