Accident-on-Higway-101-exline-rdOn Thursday at approximately 2:14 p.m., three people were injured in a traffic collision on Highway 101 north of Paso Robles, the California Highway Patrol reports.

accident-at-101-and-montereyAlberto Corchado, 36, of Fort Hunter Liggett was driving his vehicle a red VW Golf, traveling northbound in the fast lane of Highway 101 just south of Monterey Road. Edward W. Lehtimen, 51, of Los Osos was stopped behind a vehicle which was stopped at the limit line located at the intersection of Monterey Road and Highway 101.

Corchado was unable to avoid the pickup and the two vehicles collided. All of the involved parties were transported to Sierra Vista Hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries, including a passenger in Lehtimen’s truck, Victoria L. Lau, 22, of Pismo Beach.

The investigation is still ongoing, drug and alcohol use are not suspected of having contributed to this collision.
