—Thanks to the generosity of the Thaddeus Sherman Masonic Lodge, #196, over 100 books for three non-fiction collections are now on the shelves of the Paso Robles City Library.

“We recently realized that we were lacking up-to-date materials that our elementary school patrons need for reports during the year,” stated Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. “The Masons generously offered to update our collection.”

The beautiful brand-new Country and State books meet the Common Core Standards for 3rd-5th grades and will be excellent resources for students working on state and country reports. Filling out the collection is a set of Continent books, which will provide students with a wider base of knowledge for those country reports. The Continent books meet the Common Core Standards for 5th-7th grades.

“Stop by the Children’s Library and check out these beautiful new books,” Bailey added.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit prcity.com/library.
