Update: Identity of adult teens arrested for armed robbery after drug transaction released

–The Sheriff’s Office is releasing updated information on an incident which occurred in the 1500 block of 8th Street in Los Osos on Jan. 26. In that incident, the victim, a 17-year-old white male juvenile had contacted the suspects regarding a drug transaction. The suspects arrived in a vehicle and told the victim to get inside. During the transaction, the victim was robbed at gunpoint. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the victim. The suspects drove the victim a short distance before dropping him off unharmed.

The adult suspects have now been identified as 19-year-old Andrew Rey Perez of Paso Robles and 18-year-old Jose Luis Campoverde, also of Paso Robles. Additionally the charges against the suspects have been updated to include kidnapping. The investigation is continuing. The third suspect is a minor. No further information is available at this time.

–On Friday, deputies from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an armed robbery which had just taken place in the 1500 block of 8th Street in Los Osos. The victim, a 17-year-old White male juvenile had contacted the suspects regarding a drug transaction. The suspects arrived in a vehicle and told the victim to get inside. During the transaction, the victim was robbed at gunpoint. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the victim. The suspects drove the victim a short distance before dropping him off unharmed.

During the course of the investigation, members of the Sheriff’s Gang Task Force discovered the vehicle and the suspects in the parking lot of a shopping center in the 1400 block of Creston Road in Paso Robles. The suspects were arrested without incident.

They are identified as a 19-year-old White male adult from Paso Robles, an 18-year-old Hispanic male adult from Paso Robles, and a 17-year-old Hispanic male juvenile from Paso Robles. All three were arrested for armed robbery. The investigation is continuing. No further information is available at this time. No booking photos are available at this time.
