THS Principal Andrew Cherry confirms resignation

In a letter sent out to students and parents on Wednesday, Templeton High School (THS) Principal Andrew Cherry confirmed that he was resigning his position at the conclusion of this school year.
“While this news may have already gotten to you, and perhaps with an assortment of different and amusing reasons for this change, the reality is that I made this decision in order to gain more time with my kids and family as my own children approach their middle and high school years,” wrote Cherry.
He goes on to talk about the exemplary teachers and staff at the high school, and concludes by encouraging everyone to focus on the Class of 2015 – their accomplishments and upcoming graduation – rather than the change in leadership at THS.
Cherry is the third principal to leave THS in the last five years. Prior to that, the position was held by long-time Principal Jim Fotinakes.
