THS pulls out all the stops for ‘Guys & Dolls’

-Special from the Soaring Eagle Press-

A rollicking, side-splitting musical, romantic comedy comes to life in Templeton’s PAC

Guys-and-Dolls-Templeton
“Guys & Dolls” opens Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Templeton Performing Arts Center. This fun, fast-paced, up-beat show features months of work by over 50 talented Templeton High School (THS) students involved in the cast, crew, tech crew, and orchestra.

A musical, romantic comedy, “Guys & Dolls” involves the most unlikely couples that include a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, in addition to a show girl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but.

Desperate to find money for his floating crap game, Nathan Detroit bets Sky Masterson $1,000 that Sky will not be able to take local Salvation Army girl, Sarah Brown, on a date to Cuba. And the rollicking, side-splitting, energetic fun begins!

The THS Drama and Performing Arts Department has pulled out all the stops for this not-to-be-missed production directed by the Award-Winning Catherine Kingsbury, with Assistant Director Lauren Josephs, Vocal Director Jackie Edwards, Choreographer Suzy Miller, and live orchestra Conductor David Landers.
