Event returns to Paso Robles March 22

    – The national Rhone Rangers will host the 17th annual “Rhone Rangers Experience” on Saturday, March 22, in Paso Robles. The event will feature a full day of activities, including a “Rhone Essentials” seminar, vintners’ luncheon, grand tasting, and a silent auction to benefit Rhone Rangers’ educational programs.

The event will include participation from wineries affiliated with Rhone Rangers, with representation from Paso Robles, Santa Barbara County, Ojai, Monterey, Napa, Sonoma, El Dorado, Lodi, Temecula, Oregon, Texas, and Virginia.

The morning “Rhone Essentials” seminar will feature examples of wines from ten principal categories of Rhone wines. The session will be moderated by Samantha Cole-Johnson, U.S. editor of JancisRobinson.com. The panel will include winemakers and winery principals representing ten categories: sparkling Rhone, viognier, obscure white-Rhone varietal, white-Rhone blend, dry rosé, grenache, mourvèdre, syrah, obscure red varietal, and red-Rhone blend.

Following the seminar, participants will join Rhone Ranger winery principals and winemakers for a luncheon prepared by Chef Jeffery Scott. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample special releases of Rhone wines and engage with the winemakers. During the luncheon, a silent auction will feature select lots from the ten wineries represented during the seminar, as well as a special lot of “Rhone Essentials” wines.

The afternoon session will include a grand tasting featuring more than 250 wines from Rhone Rangers member wineries. Attendees will be able to sample top single Rhone varietals and Rhone blends. A silent auction will run concurrently, with proceeds benefiting Rhone Rangers’ educational programs and scholarship fund.

Two ticket options are available. The “all-access” package includes access to the welcoming coffee bar and auction preview, entry to the seminar, luncheon, and early access to the grand tasting and silent auction. This package is priced at $195 per person plus tax and fees. The grand tasting and silent auction afternoon segment is available as a standalone option for $85 per person plus tax and fees.

Additional information and ticket reservations are available at www.rhonerangers.org.
