Timothy Loren Crouch dies at 73

Timothy Loren Crouch, age 73, a longtime resident of Atascadero, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at Twin Cities Hospital after suffering a stroke. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Tim was born Aug. 27, 1944 in San Bernadino, and at age 17 joined the US Army where he tragically lost his right eye. He recovered at the Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio in San Francisco and then received an Honorable discharge.

Tim married his wife Jackie (Grant) in March of 1971 and went to work for East Pasadena Water Co. There he attended Mount San Antonio College. After about seven years and two sets of twins, he moved his young family to Atascadero to escape the “CITY”. He worked for Atascadero Mutual Water Co. and then many years at Kaiser Sand and Gravel.

His final years were spent enjoying new friends and meeting often at their park table to laugh and share life’s journeys. He loved following NASCAR and was a loyal #24 fan and going to eat at Denny’s to see his favorite waitress, Tami. We are grateful he was able to see his grandchildren grow, some graduate and also attend the wedding of his first grandchild, Austin. Tim was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit, never-ending stories and countless bad jokes. You could always count on him to be the life of the party.

Tim is survived by his wife Jackie, son Jason, his daughters, Angela John, son in-law Donny John, and Jennifer and Sara. He will also be greatly missed by his Grandchildren Austin Block and his wife Summer, Tyffani John, Savannah Lindsey, Jack Crouch-Rettig, Scott Mcgalde, Jacob Crouch, and Selah Crouch. He is also survived by his sister Pat and her family and brother Mike and family.

Our family would like to thank friends and family for all the calls, prayers, visits, kind words and support. The best tribute to a man who loved you all.

No surprise, as he wished, there will be a party in his honor Saturday, Mar. 3 at 1 p.m. at the home of Angela and Donny. All who wish to share this day with his family are gratefully welcome. Please feel free to contact us via Facebook or at (805) 610-2918 for details.
