Tip-a-Cop dinner raises money for Special Olympics

–On Tuesday, May 22, members of Paso Robles Police Department traded in their badges for aprons to spend an evening serving dinner to raise money for Special Olympics.

This year at the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, PRPD Officers, Dispatchers, Community Service Officers and the Chief of Police volunteered their time to provide great food and great conversation to several hungry community members and city officials.

Special Olympics celebrates 50 years of providing year-round sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This year’s theme to celebrate the 50th anniversary was “The 50s.” Everyone had a great time traveling back in time and adorning their 50’s attire. 100-percent of the proceeds raised at the dinner benefit Special Olympics athletes.
