Toy Bank announces 2018 Day of Giving

The Paso Robles Toy Bank, the San Luis Obispo County chapter of Coats for Kids and the Salvation Army unite for the annual Day of Giving on Sat, Dec 15 at the Paso Robles Event Center. This nonprofit community comes together to share the joy of Christmas with local families in need. The Paso Robles Events Center has, again, generously provided the use of their facility for this year’s event.

Last year 500 families with 1350 children residing in Paso Robles, San Miguel, Shandon, Bradley and Heritage Ranch benefited from the Day of Giving. The Toy Bank is asking for community participation through monetary gifts as well as toys, games, sports balls, stuffed animals, and arts and crafts will help us share the joy of Christmas with local kids and their families.

Toy donation boxes are placed throughout Paso Robles during November and December at convenient locations. New and gently used coats, sweatshirts and sweaters for the Coats for Kids program may be dropped off at Plaza Cleaners in the Albertson’s Shopping Center and Paso Robles Cleaners on 13th Street.

Monetary donations may be sent to Toy Bank, P.O. Box 2801, Paso Robles, CA 93447. All donations are tax deductible.

The Paso Robles Toy Bank is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that has been providing toys, stuffed animals, books, craft supplies and more to children since 1995.

The local Coats for Kids program provides new or gently used coat, sweatshirt or sweater for each immediate member of approximately 550 families each year. The Salvation Army provides grocery gift cards for each registered household.

To make a donation, for more information or to volunteer, visit the Toy Bank website, the Coats for Kids website or contact the Paso Robles Salvation Army at (805) 238-9591.
