Travel Paso accepting community event grant applications
Applications due by Oct. 18
– Travel Paso has announced that the application period for community event grants is now open for events occurring in 2025. The grants are designed to support events, activities, and organizations that align with Travel Paso’s mission to enhance the quality of life for residents and promote Paso Robles as a premier California tourism destination.
The grant program is funded by revenue generated from tourism and aims to support local events that contribute to the visitor experience while positively impacting the economic vitality of the community. Travel Paso said in a press release that it recognizes the importance of community partnerships with local cultural, social, and recreational organizations, which can significantly enhance the quality of life in Paso Robles and aid in marketing the destination throughout the year. A portion of the annual marketing budget is allocated to the grant program to support these efforts.
Last year, Travel Paso received a record number of grant applications. The Travel Paso Board of Directors and the Travel Paso Marketing Committee reviewed and selected 31 organizations to receive in-kind marketing support. Of these, 18 organizations were awarded additional grant funding, with over $100,000 distributed to those that align with Travel Paso’s mission to significantly impact tourism growth in Paso Robles.
Grant recipients for 2024 included AIDS/LifeCycle, At Her Table, Bovine Classic, Castoro Cellars, Estrella Warbirds Museum, Farmstead ED/SLO Co Farm Trail, Garagiste Events Inc., Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association, Paderewski Festival, Paso Robles Cab Collective, Paso Robles Distillery Trail, Paso Robles Horse Park Foundation, REC Foundation, Rhone Rangers, San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, Studios on the Park, Templeton Tennis Ranch, and Vina Robles Amphitheatre.
