Travel Paso to host industry event at Paso Robles Inn

One-day event is designed for professionals in the hospitality and tourism industries

    – The Paso Robles tourism and hospitality community will gather on May 8 for the second annual Tourism Round Up, hosted by Travel Paso at the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom.

The one-day event is designed for professionals in the hospitality and tourism industries. It will include expert presentations, networking opportunities, and recognition of individuals and businesses contributing to Paso Robles as a travel destination. Dr. Christopher Thornberg of Beacon Economics is scheduled to speak at the event.

The Tourism Round Up coincides with National Travel and Tourism Week and California Tourism Month. Awards will be presented to honor contributions to the local industry. Nominations for the Hospitality and Tourism Awards were open to the community and reviewed by a panel of seven judges representing regional tourism. The awards will be given in four categories: Emerging Hospitality Leader, Tourism Champion, Visitor Experience, and the Distinguished Leader Award.

The Distinguished Leader Award recipients for 2025 are Cris Cherry of MAHA Villa Creek; Margaret Johnson of Martin Resorts, who retired in 2024; and Ken and Bobbi Hunter of Sensorio.

“The vision, commitment, and steadfast support each of these individuals has contributed to the evolving tourism ecosystem is remarkable,” said Stacie Jacob, president and CEO of Travel Paso. “We look forward to honoring each one and sharing their story with the tourism community.”

Paso Robles welcomes approximately 2.5 million visitors annually, resulting in more than $450.8 million in travel-related spending. The tourism sector supports more than 3,424 jobs, accounting for one in every five positions in the local workforce.

“We are honored to recognize the people—our local tourism champions—who continue to raise the bar for hospitality in our region,” said Jacob. “Ensuring that we offer guests memorable experiences and keep them returning to the area year after year to experience all our amazing community has to offer.”

Tickets for the event are $50 per person.
