Try out pickleball at the Inspired Health and Fitness Expo

–Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States today and specifically it is growing quickly in San Luis Obispo county. If you aren’t sure what it is and don’t know where to see it, you can attend the Inspired Health and Fitness Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 24, from 10 a.m. -3 p.m.at the Alex Madonna Expo Center. Admission is free all weekend for the health and wellness event at the Alex Madonna Expo Center.

In an effort to educate local residents of all of the health options available on the central coast, the Inspired Health Expo will have a pickleball court set up with games being played as well as pickleball coaches and trainers’ courtesy of Templeton Tennis Ranch. Local residents can come and see a part of a game, learn a couple of strokes and see if it is something you might want to learn. There will be games being played and coaches available to ask questions or event schedule classes or workshops.

The expo will kick off Saturday, March 23 with a Superhero 5k Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. to benefit Project Teen Health, a Community Action Partnership Program brought to you by Community Health Centers. This 5k fundraiser for Project Teen Health will start and finish at the Alex Madonna Expo Center and costumes are encouraged. The finals for the Central Coast Gymnastics Ninja Agility Challenge will be held Saturday and Sunday, check in starts at 10 a.m. both days and there is a scheduled time for open course both days.

American Ninja Warrior, Island Ninja Grant McCartney will be at the event both days to cheer on the competitors of the CCG Ninja Agility Challenge and walking around saying hi to everybody. Come by and meet a real American Ninja Warrior.

Visit the Inspired Health Expo of San Luis Obispo and meet with over 100 local health, wellness and fitness professionals exhibiting their products and services.
