Twin athletes teach volleyball skills camp at Centennial Park in January
The camp will be led by twin sisters Jacey and Jenelle Loewen, Bearcat alumni who now play volleyball on athletic scholarships
Camp open to participants ages 8 to 18
– The City of Paso Robles will host a volleyball skills camp at Centennial Park on Jan. 3 and Jan. 6.
The camp will be led by twin sisters Jacey and Jenelle Loewen, Bearcat alumni who now play volleyball on athletic scholarships at Providence Christian College in Pasadena.
Jacey was recently nominated for Player of the Year and Attacker of the Year for the California Pacific Conference, while Jenelle has also achieved recognition in her athletic career. The sisters have played internationally in Italy, Portugal, and Croatia, competing against elite-level players.
Two sessions will be available each day, with the first running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the second from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The camp is open to participants ages 8 to 18 and will focus on fundamental volleyball skills, including positioning, setting, passing, and rotation. Participants will also engage in competitive play during the camp.
During their time at Paso Robles High School, Jacey served as co-captain of the varsity volleyball team and was named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Jenelle was honored with the “Pride of the Bearcat” award. In addition to their collegiate and international experience, the sisters coach club volleyball for girls ages 13 to 14 in Los Angeles and previously led outdoor volleyball clinics for teens during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for exercise and tennis shoes with non-marking soles. Each player should bring a labeled water bottle. A $10 sibling discount is available.
