Nice work. Two less kid killers on the street
I hope they get some rehabilitation
There were 3 more arrests. . . and more to the story.
Where is the rest of the story? 3 more were arrested
Brenton is my brother and he called me a few weeks ago wanting to get out of Paso because he kept getting sucked back into the drug life and wanted out. He wanted to move to Texas with my husband and I, but we just had a baby. Please people, don't judge my brother but pray for him. He reached out to me for help and I wasn't there for him. He needs rehab and help.
So sorry. I pray God will place the help before him that he needs. I pray God will give your mother, you & family peace of mind. You did nothing wrong by not taking him in. Chances are he might have fallen into the same trap just in a different place with different people. <3
Laura said it best, prayers for you&family:-)
I've known Brenton for 8 yrs and he was into drugs way back then, "he kept getting sucked back into the drug life"? hell he never got out of it but he kept on sucking others into it. Moving to Texas would only make his trips to Mexico and back that much shorter and more frequent. Yes, I hope he gets help, I hope he gets rehab too but I also hope he spends a long time in custody thinking about his life and the lives of those that he helped ruin
I pray anyone suffering from drug abuse gets better. Àll the dealers or users who are arrested have a problem. I just lost my brother to a heroin overdose. The is a problem in our community and county. Having 5 dealers off the streets where addicts or even teens could get ahold of this powerful and addictive substances. There is an epidemic in our county that has to stop. In the hospitals more heroin overdosed are checked inthan anything else. We have to stop the dealers. I may be young but I have a very big opinion. This has to stop.
Thank god… One less seller selling drugs to children… Especially heroine!
Rhianna, you are a good sister, and you would have had him come to you if it had been practical. You've always cared deeply about him, and that's what he needs right now. This may be the very best thing that could have happened to him.
just a comment for everyone who has and will read this article directly from the person who lived it. I CAN NOT and WILL NOT deny my drug problem. something that has haunted me, caused me to make many bad choices and has hurt my family, my friends and myself in far to many ways. However the person who this report is making me out to be, is what i am not. I know im not that person and all the people who truly know me know im not. thats all that truly matters and in the end of all this everyone will see how wrong and unjust it was to label me as they have
Some day, hopefully soon, prohibition will end and those that are addicts will get treatment. Drug addiction is a health issue, not a criminal justice issue. The criminal justice system is hear to protect us from others, not ourselves. The US has spent over 18 trillion dollars since Nixon declared "War on Drugs" which is really a war on people. Imagine what could have been done with all that money. Time for a new paradigm, as the one we're stuck in now isn't working. America incarcerates more people per capita than any other nation. WAKE UP PEOPLE – END PROHIBITION!!!
Nice Job Paso P.D. Way to clean up.
keep sweeping.
So sorry to hear my friend…Hope he finds the help he needs…I did NA for a while til I was on the right path for myself…if he ever wants to go to a meeting tell him to call me…I will go with him!
I totally sympathize with your situation. Our family has struggled with drug addiction for DECADES, especially heroin. Not knowing the full extent of your family struggles I can only speak from experience when I tell you can only help an addict when they are willing to help themselves. That goes beyond asking for help but actually taking steps on their own to help themselves. Detox, rehab, sober living, NA, whatever it takes, usually all of the above. The destruction they leave in the wake of their addiction is devastating to a family. Self preservation and boundries are a necessity in surviving their addiction. It doesn't mean you no longer love them and care about their wellbeing. It just means that you will not let their addiction dictate your life. Wishing you the best for you and your family.
I can't believe I'm the only person that liked this. This is the most intelligent thing I've read on here.
The article didn't really label you. The article just stated what you were arrested for. It didn't say whether you were bad or good, just says what happened. Some of the people judged you, but it sounds like most of them are supportive of you and other addicts getting help.
Do what you have to do to get help. It's the biggest battle you will ever have in your life. Ask the judge to help you. Put you in rehab.this is not a cliche.."god helps those who will help themselves". You will have prayers behind you. Let him carry you on his shoulders.
Don't be hard on yourself we have all missed a calling or two when we weren't their when someone needed us. But praise God, He is the God of more than one chance, and we will just pray that the Lord knows who can reach your brother, so please send them. Will keep you and your family in prayer.
Heroin and Meth SUCK. don't blame us for not wanting you to turn your bad choices…yes YOUR CHOICES ,into possible addiction for others…..clean up in Jail…make something of yourself and people will forgive you…until then…. I'm glad your off the street.
Hit up new life bro, get right on that shit so you can show the judge and DA an alternative that's legit. You won't be beggin and complaint you'll be showing them you need help you want help and are willing to get it lined up ahead of time. It worked for me bro, got 6 months shaved off to be on the beach bro. You need anything homie just ask.
Brenton, you can't try to sell anyone. In our society unfortunately it's guilt by association. The story may not portray you as you really are but it is what it is. You can keep making the wrong turn or make the right turn. "Excuses are you know what, everyone has one"
