Two-day line dance boot camp offered at Centennial Park
Boot camp prepares dancers for Tuesday night Line Dance Party
– A beginner-friendly line dance class will be held on two consecutive Saturdays, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, at Centennial Grand Oak-A and Grand Oak-B.
The class is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both days and is designed for students who are new to line dancing. Instructor Tina Scarsella will teach basic footwork used in the weekly Tuesday night Line Dance Party.
Steps covered will include grapevine, shuffles, weaves, rocking chair, coaster step, mambo step, swivels, charleston, monterey, rumba box, pivot turns, and others. The music will be slowed down to help participants learn the moves.
The class is open to adults age 18 and older. Younger dancers may attend if accompanied by an adult.
