Two potions of Highway One closed due to landslide threat

–With the pending threat of heavy rain that could spark landslides, CalTrans has closed two portions of Highway 1.

Paul’s Slide at Mile Marker 21.5 will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Mud Creek at Mile Marker 9 will shut down at 9 a.m. Sunday. They will re-open when Caltrans experts decide they’re safe, reports say.

Drivers should expect more closures this winter. Whenever significant storms are forecast, CalTrans will close the route, according to reports.
