Up With Kids event provides school essentials for Paso Robles children
Shopping spree empowers 130 local children
– Up With Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children in the community, hosted its 23rd annual Back-to-School Shopping Spree on Aug. 10 at the Paso Robles Target store. The event provided 130 children with essential school supplies, clothing, and other necessities to prepare for the upcoming school year.
The Up With Kids organization was founded in 2001 by a group of agents at RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate Paso Robles, who created the shopping event to benefit the community. The event has continued for 23 consecutive years, largely due to the dedication of the agents, management team, and owner at RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate.
The event was made possible through the support of local businesses, community members, and volunteers. In addition to the shopping spree, the RE/MAX hot air balloon provided tethered rides for the children and their families above the shopping center.
“Our Back-to-School Shopping Spree is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and we’re thrilled with the turnout and support we received this year,” said Fred Bruen, Up With Kids Committee Chair. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the smiles on the kids’ faces as they pick out their new school gear. This event not only provides them with the tools they need to succeed but also boosts their self-esteem as they head back to school, improving the opportunity for learning.”
Local organizations and businesses contributed to the success of the event through sponsorships, donations, and volunteer efforts.
