Up With Kids to host 24th annual shopping spree Aug. 9
Event to serve 150 students with clothing and supplies
– RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate will host the 24th annual Up With Kids Back to School Shopping Spree on Aug. 9 at the Target store in Paso Robles. The event will support 150 students from Paso Robles and surrounding areas by providing school clothing, shoes, backpacks, and supplies.
Each student will receive a $150 shopping budget to select clothing and shoes, as well as a new backpack filled with school supplies.
“Our goal is to ensure that every child starts the school year feeling prepared and excited,” said Fred Bruen, committee member of Up With Kids. “We believe that by equipping students with the tools they need, we are not only setting them up for academic success but also boosting their self-esteem and enthusiasm for learning.”
The event will include a shopping experience with school essentials such as notebooks, pencils, and backpacks. A tethered ride in the RE/MAX hot air balloon will also be available.
The shopping spree is made possible through the support of local businesses, individual donors, and volunteers.
