–The Paso Robles Senior Center is a happening place. Here’s a list of just some of the activities at the center:
By-District Election Model Presentation –Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 12:30 p.m. City Manager, Tom Frutchey, will be stopping by for a 20-minute presentation on the new by-district election model for city council elections. Learn about the model and why the city is changing to it.
Cards for Seniors – Monday, Feb. 4, anytime from 12 – 2pm– Volunteer a few minutes of your time to make a handmade card for a local homebound or isolated senior. Cards for Seniors is a program of Wilshire Community Services. Wilshire provides all the materials – we just need your time. Don’t worry – there’s no need to be artsy or creative to participate. The cards are mailed to seniors on their birthday and once per quarter. It’s a wonderful program and you can help contribute to its success!
Literature Class with Cuesta College Emeritus –Literature classes are Fridays, 9:30 – 11:20 a.m. – Short stories from around the world will generate creative conversations and inner reflections. Cuesta College Emeritus program offers free classes for adults 50 and better. Dare to stretch your mind, discover new talents and meet new people. Call Cuesta Emeritus to register at (805) 591-6212.
Bingo Every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. – They serve up free popcorn and lots of fun.
