Update from the Paso Robles Children’s Museum

Paso Robles Children's Museum

–The Paso Robles Children’s Museum released the following letter to museum members:

Hello Museum Friends and Family,

I hope this finds you well and healthy during this challenging time. I wanted to give you an update on the Paso Robles Children’s Museum, but more importantly to thank you for your continued support of our special museum and the local community as a whole. I have been so inspired by the tremendous things people are doing to support each other and our local businesses.

As you may know, the Children’s Museum has been closed since March 15th. Out of an abundance of caution, we decided to close when our local schools closed and while it is uncertain when they will physically reopen their doors, we will be following the guidance of the governor and our local government to determine when it’s safe for the kiddos to return to the Museum to play.

Luckily the Museum has a small staff and we have been able to keep everyone employed. When it is safe to do so, we will be working on some extensive cleaning and updates at the Museum while practicing social distancing. We plan to be ready to go when the shelter at home order is lifted and public gatherings are once again allowed.

We have been staying connected with our members and guests via social media. Our weekly, interactive contests have been a lot of fun and we have given away several Museum Punch Cards to be used when we re-open. The staff has been posting some great activities and crafts to do at home with the kids too. If you want to get in on the fun follow us on Facebook!

During these trying times, we all have so much to be thankful for. I’m thankful we have been able to keep our staff busy and working, I’m thankful for our local schools who have continued to feed the children in our community, and I’m thankful for you, our supporters and friends, who have kept the Paso Robles Children’s Museum alive and thriving for nearly 13 years.

I humbly ask that you please consider us this year in your charitable giving and together we will get through this and thrive once again!

With warm regards,

Jennifer Smith
Executive Director, Paso Robles Children’s Museum
