    Updated election results released for Paso Robles races

    Updated results released Saturday

    – The San Luis Obispo County Clerk Recorder’s office released updated election results on Saturday afternoon for various local races in Paso Robles, including city council positions, school board seats, and Measure I-24, a sales tax proposal.

    In the race for Paso Robles City Council District 1, Kris Beal leads with 1,199 votes, representing 43.78%. Sharon Roden follows with 1,079 votes, or 39.39%, while Linda C. George received 461 votes, or 16.83%.

    For City Council District 3, Steve Gregory holds 1,487 votes, or 43.61%. Michael Rivera has 1,208 votes, or 35.43%, and Jeff Carr has 715 votes, or 20.97%.

    In District 4, Fred L. Strong is the sole candidate, with 2,049 votes and 100% of the total.

    Ryan Cornell is running unopposed for City Treasurer and has received 9,253 votes, securing 100% of the vote.

    The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District elections have also been reported. In School Board Area 3, Nathan Williams leads with 1,604 votes, or 63.08%, while Hunter M. Breese trails with 939 votes, or 36.92%.

    In School Board Area 5, Laurene D. McCoy has received 1,806 votes, or 54.99%, compared to Tim Gearhart, who has 1,478 votes, or 45.01%.

    For School Board Area 6, Leo Castillo leads with 1,157 votes, or 52.66%, while Adelita Hiteshew has 1,040 votes, or 47.34%.

    In School Board Area 7, Kenney Enney has 1,988 votes, or 60.11%, while Tracy Dauterman has 1,319 votes, or 39.89%.

    Measure I-24, a sales tax proposal, is currently passing with 7,321 votes in favor, or 54.27%. A total of 6,168 votes, or 45.73%, have been cast against the measure.

    Election officials reported 6,274 ballots remain to be processed, according to the update released Saturday.

    The county has processed 147,748 ballots so far, including 18,800 since their previous report.

    Election officials expect to release the next update by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
