    Vegetation fire contained in Paso Robles Thursday evening 

    paso robles fire and emergency–On Thursday at approximately 8:01 p.m., Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to 3200 Sulphur Springs Road for a reported vegetation fire.

    The first unit arrived at the scene within approximately four minutes. Upon arrival, the fire was 60’ x 60’, 150 yards into the riverbed, in light grass, surrounded by pathways, with no rate of spread, and no immediate exposure threats.

    Two fire engines, one squad, and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the city’s automatic aid agreement, four fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Cal Fire/SLO County Fire immediately responded. Additional assistance provided by the Paso Robles Police Department.

    The fire was contained at approximately 8:12 p.m., with an extended mop-up due to two additional emergency incidents within the city that pulled resources off the fire.

    The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
