Vehicle strikes new lighted pedestrian crosswalk pole
–One of the light posts for the new lighted pedestrian crosswalk struck by a vehicle and bent 15-20 degrees Thursday night or early Friday morning. The post at the corner of 13th and Pine street is leaning this morning.
The Paso Robles Public Works Department will be out Friday morning surveying the damage and doing their analysis. The big question- can the pole be bent back to the upright position or must it be replaced?
The poles are waiting for lights to be installed to create a safe, lighted crosswalk for pedestrians walking across 13th street at Pine and Park Streets. Someone or something apparently struck one of those poles overnight.
