Veteran, local leader joins Assemblyman’s staff

Kristen Handley.

Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham announced that Air Force veteran and former President of the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, Kristen Handley, has become a member of his district staff.

Handley will use her professional experience and deep ties to the community to serve constituents of the 35th Assembly District.

“We’re extremely excited to have Kristen on our team,” said Cunningham. “She is a proven leader in this community and someone who has used her experience to make this region a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

Handley served the country as a member of the United States Air Force for four years, and has a background in business development, branding and promotion. As a former Business Development Coordinator, Kristen served on various steering committees, advisory boards and several North County Chambers of Commerce. From 2013-16, she served as President of the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Templeton Women In Business.

Handley is developing a women’s advisory board for the Assemblyman, where established professionals can discuss issues impacting professional women in the region and offer advice for young adults looking to start their careers. She also will focus on issues impacting veterans in the district.
