Vina Robles opens new tasting room

CMB Family of Wines acquired Vina Robles in September

Vina Robles has opened a new tasting room at 1650 Ramada Drive, near Highway 101 at the entrance to the 46 West wine trail. The winery, established in 1998, is now under the ownership of CMB Family of Wines, led by Courtney M. Benham.

Benham has worked in the wine industry for 40 years and has previously revitalized historic wineries, including Martin Ray, founded in 1881.

“Vina Robles has a long-standing reputation for exceptional winemaking, and I’m truly honored to be part of its journey in Paso Robles,” Benham said. “Our goal is to uphold the legacy here while also embracing the future.”

The new tasting room includes a central tasting bar, seating areas, a communal table made from reclaimed wine barrels, and a retractable garage door that creates an indoor-outdoor space. The facility will offer various tasting experiences, live music, and events. A wood-fired pizza oven from Italy will be incorporated, with additional culinary offerings to be announced.

Leslie Renaud, director of winemaking for CMB Family of Wines, will oversee Vina Robles’ wine production. Renaud has worked at Talley Vineyards, Bishop’s Peak, and wineries in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains. She is joined by winemaker Raemy Paterson, whose experience includes work in Bordeaux, Provence, the Russian River Valley, and Australia’s Barossa Valley.

CMB Family of Wines acquired Vina Robles in September, including its trademark, inventory, barrels, and intellectual property. The acquisition did not include the hospitality center or the Vina Robles Amphitheatre. However, Vina Robles will be the exclusive wine partner for the amphitheater’s 2025 concert season, and its wine club members will retain access to VIP perks and early concert ticket sales.

The Vina Robles tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Advanced reservations are recommended.
