Volunteers to host free wildflower workshop at community garden
– Volunteers with Paso Robles Recreation Services will host a free public workshop focused on California wildflowers on Saturday, April 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Uptown Family Park Community Garden.
The workshop is open to participants of all ages and will cover topics including the lifecycle of wildflowers, their pollinators, and environmental benefits. The event will take place at Uptown Family Park, located at 641 36th Street in Paso Robles. No registration is required.
The Uptown Family Park Community Garden, originally constructed in 2014, had been inactive for several years. Local volunteers have recently begun revitalizing the space for community use. Saturday’s event marks the second in a series of recurring workshops designed to highlight the garden’s renewal this spring.
“We are thrilled to bring this hands-on, educational workshop to the community garden and create a welcoming space for learning and connection,” said Wyatt Lund, volunteer coordinator. “These workshops are great opportunity for residents to gather, grow, and appreciate the beauty of gardening together.”
