Meteorologist warns of high surf through tomorrow afternoon
– Meteorologist for KSBY Vivian Rennie issued a warning yesterday for beachgoers to stay out of the water due to hazardous conditions today.
High surf advisories are in effect through tomorrow afternoon, with localized wave sets reaching up to 18 feet. In addition, water quality alerts remain in place, advising the public to avoid the ocean for three days after the system passes to allow runoff hazards to dissipate.
