– The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for parts of North County, including the Cuyama Valley, Ojai Valley, and southern Salinas Valley, remaining in effect until 9 a.m.

A red flag warning remains in effect for parts of San Luis Obispo County through 6 p.m. Wednesday due to gusty east winds and low humidity, creating critical fire weather conditions.
The National Weather Service issued the warning for portions of the county, along with areas in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. Winds are expected to range from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph, particularly on Wednesday. Humidity levels will remain extremely low, between 10 and 20 percent during the day, with little improvement at night.
Officials warn that these conditions present a high risk of large fires, rapid fire spread, and extreme fire behavior, including long-range spotting. If a fire ignites, it could threaten life and property.
Residents in affected areas are urged to exercise caution, avoid activities that could spark fires, and stay informed through local authorities and weather updates.
