Widening of Highway 46 East continues 

Mcmillian canyon to lycy brown road 46 widening

The widening of Hwy. 46 East from McMillan Canyon Road to west of Lucy Brown Road through Shandon is underway.

Utility and gas lines are being relocated around Highway 46 for continued expansion of the roadway.

–The widening of Hwy. 46 East from McMillan Canyon Road to west of Lucy Brown Road through Shandon is underway with the relocation of utility and gas lines. Earthwork is scheduled to begin on this four mile project within two weeks.

The majority of construction will take place just north of Hwy. 46 East. Motorists are expected to encounter minimal delays during this project.

The contractor for this $47 million project is Brosamer & Wall of Walnut Creek CA. It is scheduled to be complete by the end in 2018.

This section follows three completed phases of corridor widening from Paso Robles to the Hwy. 46/41 intersection. The $38 million widening of Hwy. 46 East from Almond Drive to McMillan Canyon Road will undergo final paving later this summer. The widening of Hwy. 46 East from Geneseo Road to east of Almond Drive was completed in 2014. The widening of Hwy. 46 East from Airport Road to Geneseo Road was done in 2010
