Windrose Farm hosting Heirloom Tomato Festival 

–The Windrose Farm Heirloom Tomato Festival & Dinner is happening Sept. 22-23. Come for the traditional Heirloom Tomato Tasting of over 30 varieties, stay for the local chefs and purveyors that will be preparing bites of their favorite recipes using Windrose Farm tomatoes and tasty produce.

This family-friendly event offers an afternoon of relaxing and lingering under the old oak tree while sampling the colorful & delicious fruit this farm has become known for. The farm stand will be open and vendors will be selling much of the flavorful fare you will be grazing on throughout the afternoon.

Windrose Farm is a small family farm located east of Paso Robles, near Creston, in San Luis Obispo County. Owners Bill & Barbara Spencer have been farming organically since 1990 and currently follow biodynamic farming practices. A place of spiritual connection to the earth and all it provides at the nurturing hands of Barbara & Bill Spencer and their crew. For over 25 years, this special place has produced many heirloom crops offered to the best of the best restaurants and has been welcoming inquisitive and intriguing people seeking the magic this farm grows.

Bill and Barbara Spencer are hosting this evening of food, wine, and friends, under the stars joined by longtime friends and Chefs Daniel Mattern and Roxana Jullapat of Friends & Family, David Wilcox of Journeyman LA, Brittany Cassidy of Rustic Canyon, Tim Veatch of Wayward Bakery, all of whom will be collaborating and preparing a five-course meal featuring Windrose Farm fruits, veggies and lamb, as well as produce and pairings from nearby purveyors and friends.
