Full list of events available now
– Wine 4 Paws announced a full line-up of special events and a wine tasting map featuring more than 80 local businesses raising funds for Woods Humane Society during the weekend of April 26-27.
Leading up to the main fundraising weekend, early events will begin April 23 with a Sip & Shop at Bijou on the Park and a Bring Your Pup to the Movies screening at Dracaena Wines. On April 25, Hayseed and Housdon Winery will host the official Wine 4 Paws Kick-Off Party at Cal Coast Beer from 6:30-10 p.m., featuring wine, beer, food, and live music by the Mark Adams Band. Sole Tree in Paso Robles will donate 20 percent of all sock sales throughout April.
New events for the main Wine 4 Paws weekend include Super Saturday at Paso Market Walk on April 26, where attendees can enjoy food, cheese, ice cream, wine, beer, and bubbles in support of animals at Woods Humane Society. Hoyt Family Vineyards will host a Pet Cupcake Decorating Contest from 12-3 p.m. on the same day.
More than 15 other events are currently planned, including Brunch & Bingo, a book signing, paint-your-pet activities, live music, pizza, and treats for people and pets. The full list of events is available at www.wine4paws.com/events.
The Wine 4 Paws Map, which includes all participating wineries, restaurants, hotels, and tour companies, is available now at www.wine4paws.com.
“Each year, I am inspired and impressed by the fun, creative ways our wine country businesses show up to support Wine 4 Paws. This year is no different. I can’t wait for local wine enthusiasts and pet-lovers to enjoy all that they have in store, for a great cause!” said Wine 4 Paws organizer Sarah Tomasetti.
Woods Humane Society CEO Emily L’Heureux said the fundraiser comes at a key time during the shelter’s busy baby season. “Wine 4 Paws participants will directly support medical treatments, fostering, and hands-on care for vulnerable puppies and kittens this season. We encourage all animal lovers to check out the map and enjoy wine country in the name of pets in need,” L’Heureux said.
Woods Humane Society is located at 875 Oklahoma Ave. in San Luis Obispo and at 2300 Ramona Rd. in Atascadero. The facilities are open daily from 12-5 p.m., with adoption hours from 12-4 p.m. More information is available at www.woodshumane.org or by calling (805) 543-9316.
