– Treasury Wine Estates, one of the world’s leading wine companies, has been named the No. 2 Healthiest Employer in Northern California and ranked No. 24 on the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in the United States list, rising eight spots from the previous year.
The recognition reflects the wine company’s commitment to a people-first strategy during a period of growth and transformation. In late 2023, the wine company acquired Daou Vineyards in Paso Robles, and the wine company maintains staff in North County.
The wine company’s “inclusion, equity, and diversity” program and its benefits and wellness package are central to its approach, enabling employees to feel supported in their work environment, according to a press release.
“We’re excited to see Treasury Wine Estates continually recognized for being one of the healthiest employers in the United States, year over year,” said Elise Spangenberg, senior vice president of people and culture at the wine company, and previously senior vice president of people at Daou Vineyards.
“It’s truly a testament to how much the company values its employees and supports those values with actions and benefits. We know that our people are our difference, and every single one of our team members contributes to the world-class company that Treasury Wine Estates is today.”
In the wine company’s 2024 annual engagement survey, employees ranked its well-being program among the top two reasons for workplace satisfaction. The survey also showed that 83% of employees believe the benefits and well-being program, introduced during the pandemic, significantly contributes to their satisfaction—a 4% increase from 2023.
“I take immense pride in our company’s commitment to holistic well-being,” said Ben Dollard, president of the Americas division of the wine company. “Our Wellness365 program isn’t just about numbers or statistics; it’s about fostering a culture where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Because when our people are at their best, our company is unstoppable.”
