Wine Feast for Fire Relief to be held Dec. 8

100-percent of ticket and wine auction sales will go to the relief fund

– To help support the Northern California wine regions decimated by recent fires, a group of Central Coast wine-region winemakers, chefs, sommeliers and event planners are hosting a decadent wine-fueled feast – and rare-wine auction – at Oyster Ridge in Santa Margarita, Friday Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Tickets, which are $125, are still available at NightOut.com.

One hundred percent of ticket and auction sales will be donated to CA Wine Strong, which will be distributing the funds among Napa Valley Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund, Community Foundation of Sonoma County’s Resilience Fund, and Community Foundation of Mendocino County.

The wine feast will include a reception of bubbles and Morro Bay oysters, a huge selection of donated rare and high-scoring wines placed on every table, a family-style menu created by three award-winning chefs, a rare/large format wine auction, and a live jazz band. The event is also a bottle-share affair, so guests are encouraged to bring a fun bottle.

The Chefs: Top Chef Dakota Weiss of Estrella in Hollywood; Chef Spencer Johnston and Chris J. Batlle of Monger and the Chef; and Chef Mateo Rogers & Brittney Yracheta of Heirloom Catering.

The Wine: There will be bubbles with oysters at the opening. Dozens of wineries and collectors have donated cases of rare and high-scoring wines, which will be placed on the tables. (Guests will not be disappointed.) The event is also a bottle-share affair, so guests are encouraged to bring one fun and/or are bottle.

Guest will also have the chance to bid, in silent auction format, on a variety of high-end wines, wine tasting experiences and other goods and services. Music will be provided by the Ray Chang Jazz Ensemble. The event will be emceed by Adam Montiel of 92.5 FM, and The Cork Dorks.
