Winemaker dinner to support homeless resource center expansion

Paso Robles event will raise funds for new family housing beds

    – The El Camino Homeless Organization will host its third annual Vines that ECHO winemaker dinner on June 5 from 5-9 p.m. at Copia Vineyards and Winery in Paso Robles wine country.

The event will feature a four-course dinner prepared by Chef Rachel Ponce of Pair With, with each course paired with wines from participating wineries including Copia Vineyards & Winery, Ciento Cellars, and The Royal Nonesuch Farm, along with a beer pairing from Cellar Fermentation. Winemakers will visit tables throughout the evening to discuss their wines and winemaking process.

Proceeds from the event will support the organization’s Building Hope & Home Campaign, which is funding the Balay Ko Family Resource Center at the organization’s Atascadero campus. According to the organization, the expansion will add 30 beds for families with children. The organization said more than 300 individuals and families are currently on its waitlist.

The organization said construction on the modular project, led by BevyHouse and SCI, is underway and now includes framing, roofing, windows, electrical, and plumbing work. The organization plans to open the expansion in early fall 2026.

The project comes as the organization marks 25 years of serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in San Luis Obispo County.

The evening will also feature a live auction with locally curated experiences, including private winemaker dinners and itineraries throughout San Luis Obispo County.

Anita from Copia Vineyard said the winery supports the organization because of its work helping individuals and families gain stability and independence.

“Copia is proud to support ECHO because their work reflects the kind of community we believe in—one where neighbors show up for neighbors,” Anita said. “Providing someone with basic needs is powerful, but ECHO goes further by helping individuals and families build the tools, stability, and confidence to move forward on their own. That kind of tangible, lasting impact can strengthen an entire family’s wellbeing and, in turn, our broader community.

“Paso Robles and the Central Coast are rooted in connection, generosity, and care for one another. Vines That ECHO is especially meaningful to us because it brings people together for a beautiful evening in support of a mission that truly changes lives. At Copia, we are deeply committed to building up our community, and supporting ECHO is one way we can help contribute to a stronger, more compassionate future for all.”
