Winemaker’s Cook Off returns August 12

–Join the Paso Robles Rotary Club for the 19th Annual Winemaker’s Cook Off. The event is on Saturday Aug 12, from 6-9 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center.
Local wineries and breweries are currently being asked to participate in this charitable event. All proceeds from the event go to the Harlow Ford Scholarship Foundation, which funds scholarships for local high school seniors. Over the past 18 years, Paso Robles Rotary has awarded more than $500 thousand in scholarships to deserving students.
The basic concept of the cook-off challenge is for each winery owner and/or winemaker to create the best “hors d’ oeuvres” on a barbecue grill. Event attendees can cast three votes for the People’s Choice Award. Local chefs and well-known industry journalists determine the winner of the Judges’ Award. A “Professional Chef” category also allows a winery to team up with its favorite restaurant or caterer to compete for the best professional entry. Over the past 18 years the winemakers of Paso Robles have generously donated their time, wine and culinary expertise to make this event truly memorable.
Tickets are $85 ($45 for designated drivers) and include a commemorative wine glass. Tickets are available on the Winemaker’s Cook Off website. Free parking. Must be 21 years old to attend. The Paso Robles Event Center is located at 2198 Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles.
