Winemakers gather to support CAPSLO’s Adult Day Center

–Wailing Winemakers Karaoke Event has returned after a seven-year hiatus. The event will take place Tuesday, July 17 6:30- 10 p.m. at the Lefondusac Winery Bar in Tin City.

Local radio personality and co-founder of the Garagiste festival, Stewart Mclennan, will host teams from the San Luis Obispo County Hospitality and Service communities. Teams will belt out their favorite tunes in hopes of a grand prize and bragging rights. By contributing to the event, all net proceeds will benefit the Adult Day Center of the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc.

The CAPSLO Adult Day Center helps adults with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive impairments by assisting participants in managing and achieving their highest level of cognitive function while providing respite for their family caregivers. Clients are provided a nutritious lunch, adapted exercise, games, social and musical activities, and much more. Through this event, CAPSLO will be able to keep helping and providing more services to the program.

Various teams have already signed up including Asuncion Ridge vineyards, Broken Earth Winery, Golden Triangle Wines, Lefondusac, and San Luis Sports Therapy. There are still spots available for teams and participants to support the charity. Participants can sign up by going to the event’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WailingWinemakers/ or by emailing wailingwinemakers@gmail.com.

Tickets can also be purchased online for $10 per person here, or $15 per person at the door. Everyone is welcome for an evening of wine, song, and fun to support the community of San Luis Obispo.
