Woman arrested for felony child neglect, inflicting corporal injury
26-year-old Amelia Arroyo-Colin.
–At about 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Grover Beach Police officers responded to a call of a found child on the block 1400 block of Longbranch Ave. in Grover Beach. The child was taken into custody. At about 2 p.m., police officers located 26-year-old Amelia Arroyo-Colin who they identified as the babysitter of the child.
A subsequent investigation found five other young children and they were taken into protective custody as well. The found child was turned over to her parents, and the other children were turned over to relatives of Arroyo-Colin.
Arroyo-Colin was arrested for felony neglect of children and for inflicting corporal injury upon a child.
