Woods Humane Society reduces adoption fees for ‘St. PETrick’s Day’ promotion
Promotion runs through 17 at both shelter locations
– Woods Humane Society will reduce adoption fees for all animals to $70 from March 13 through March 17 as part of its “St. PETrick’s Day” promotion.
The reduced fee applies to dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Adult dog adoptions also require license fees. The promotion begins Friday, March 13, and runs through Tuesday, March 17.
“With so many deserving dogs and cats looking for homes, we hope that this adoption event will help bring awareness and ‘lucky’ matches for the animals at Woods Humane Society,” said Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux. “This time of year also marks the start of baby season on the Central Coast. Adoptions will help us make room in the shelter as we prepare for the incoming puppies and kittens.”
All adoptable animals have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed, and treated for parasites. Adoptions also include a voluntary 30 days of pet insurance and a free wellness exam at a local veterinary clinic.
Woods Humane Society operates two locations. The San Luis Obispo shelter is located at 875 Oklahoma Ave., and the Atascadero location is at 2300 Ramona Rd. Both are open to the public daily from noon to 5 p.m., with adoption hours from noon to 4 p.m.
