– For over 20 years, Jack’s Helping Hand has provided vital support and financial assistance to children with medical needs and their families across San Luis Obispo County. This inspiring nonprofit holds a special place in the hearts of the A.M. Sun Solar + Roofing team.
One of our own, Solar Consultant Adam Scorby, is the proud father of 9-year-old Calin, a bright and resilient boy diagnosed in utero with a rare genetic condition called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. Since birth, Calin has undergone multiple surgeries and continues to face significant health challenges—yet his spirit shines through every day.
In honor of Calin and families like his, A.M. Sun Solar + Roofing is proud to support Jack’s Helping Hand again this year. For every solar system sold in August, we will donate $250 to help bring the Jack Ready Imagination Park to life on the Nipomo Mesa.
This one-of-a-kind park will be the first universally accessible play space in the region—designed so children of all abilities can play, grow, and thrive. Features include inclusive play structures, adaptive sports areas, a therapeutic equestrian center, and a peaceful sensory garden. A.M. Sun Solar + Roofing is also donating a custom solar system to provide the park with clean, renewable energy for years to come.
Founded by Paul and Bridget Ready in memory of their son Jack—who passed away at age 3 from a rare brain cancer—Jack’s Helping Hand was created to support other families navigating similar journeys. Their mission continues to change lives throughout the Central Coast.
