    – A workshop titled “ABCs of Behavior: Interactive Workshop for Parents & Kids” will be held March 8, 2025, at Centennial Park in Paso Robles. The workshop, led by instructor Elisa Huot, is designed to help parents and children understand and manage behavior challenges.

The session will provide parents and caregivers with tools and strategies to foster positive behavior and emotional well-being in children through engaging activities and practical tips. Participants will learn how to identify behavior triggers, understand emotional intelligence, and implement strategies such as positive reinforcement and time management. Topics covered will include emotional intelligence, effective communication, positive behavior support, social-emotional learning, and managing challenging behaviors.

“Together, we will create a positive and supportive learning environment,” Huot said. “This workshop will provide you with evidence-based techniques to create a supportive environment for your child’s growth and development.”

While the workshop is designed for parents, children are welcome to attend. A play area will be set up for children during the session.

The workshop will be conducted in English, and participants who prefer another language may bring a translator (one per family group). Handouts will be available in English.

The cost is $10, with a discount available for additional family members.
