World of Warcraft SoD Phase 3 Preview

Phase 3 of Season of Discovery is coming out soon. Blizzard has announced a lot of new features that will be available from April 4, such as new skills, a 20-player raid, updated professions, and more. Aside from that, Blizzard has announced that players level 40 and up can buy Dual Talent Specialization ability for 50 gold.

As you may have noticed, the Dual Spec is not cheap, and some players may not have accumulated plenty of gold for such a purchase, especially if they are new to Season 3. Thank goodness, you can buy WoW SoD gold with just one click on a safe site with thousands of good reviews. Now that that’s out of the way it’s time to check what changes await us in Phase 3 of Season of Discovery.

The Temple of Atal’hakkar 20-Player Raid

The Temple of Atal’Hakkar (aka the Sunken Temple), a 20-player version of the notorious classic dungeon, is the most recent raid to the end game, set to launch in Phase 3. It includes eight bosses, new armor sets drops, revised epics, and quest rewards.

This raid will be accessible concurrently with the introduction of Phase 3, with a one-week lockout duration and highly generous drops to compensate for the lower overall number of lockouts available during the Phase.

The Temple of Atal’Hakkar will include not only upgraded versions of famous bosses like Atal’alarion, Jammal’An, and Ogom but also whole new ones! For example, the Festering Rotslime is a huge goo-creature that patrols one of the Sunken Temple’s outer rings, eating any poor soul that crosses its path.

New Runes and Abilities Coming to Phase 3 of SoD

The introduction of Phase 3 of Season of Discovery will enable players to get brand new Runes, with more becoming accessible along the leveling process.

PvP Updates in Season of Discovery Phase 3

Blizzard developers have learned in previous Phases that partaking in PvP activities with PvE gear might be difficult owing to its low mitigation capabilities. With this in mind, Blizzard is launching entirely new PvP-oriented gear sets that will be accessible to players ranked 5 to 7. These are entire 6-piece sets with PvP-specific attributes and set bonuses. In addition, Blizzard is introducing a “starter set” through the new faction Emerald Wardens.

The Blood Moon open-world PvP Event, which debuted in Phase 2, is also receiving a refresh in Season of Discovery Phase 3. A new currency, Massacre Coins, is being introduced. It will be obtained by eliminating high-level players and may be used to purchase new event rewards. Furthermore, Bloodstained Commendation will no longer be available; however, you will be able to use up any remaining amounts before they expire two weeks following the release of patch 1.15.2.

Nightmare Incursions: World Event and Emerald Wardens Faction

A brand-new PvE global event called Nightmare Incursions is added by Blizzard in SoD Phase 3. Players will be able to get to them through Emerald Portals that will appear in Ashenvale, Duskwood, Feralas, and The Hinterlands. Players will be taken to a corrupted realm full of creatures gone crazy from the corruption when they open these portals. Experienced players will be able to defeat these creatures solo, while beginners will have to do it at a party.

Nightmare Incursions provide repeated content for players from levels 25 to 50. You will be able to obtain experience and reputation with the new faction — Emerald Wardens. The latter will reward players with a plethora of new things, including lower and higher-level gear, as well as new PvP outfits similar to those released in the Burning Crusade. These sets will not be as powerful, but they will be an excellent starting point for anyone interested in trying out PvP.

Profession Specializations

Finally, players will be able to select a specialization for their Profession. This update includes various new profession-specific missions and recipes, such as the possibility to gain bonus potion, flask, and elixir procs while manufacturing such consumables. The bulk of profession spec-related gadgets appear after level 60 and should help you get the most out of your profession. In addition, each profession’s level ceiling will be increased to 300.

Leveling and Discoverer’s Delight Updates

To make the leveling process in SoD Phase 3 smoother, players will be able to benefit from the Discoverer’s Delight +50% experience bonus from level 40 to 49 as soon as the update is released on April 4th. Aside from that, all players from levels 1 to 39 will still benefit from the +100% XP bonus.

Furthermore, like with Blackfathom Depths and Gnomeregan will grant a significant amount of XP for boss kills, making continuing to run it with your guild a lucrative pastime. In a similar spirit, Nightmare Incursions are an excellent method to mix up your leveling process as there are several repeated tasks.

Conclusion

Phase 3 of World of Warcraft’s Season of Discovery promises thrilling additions like the Temple of Atal’Hakkar raid, PvP updates, and Nightmare Incursions. With changes to gold sinks and profession quests, Blizzard ensures an engaging experience for players, marking an exciting chapter in WoW’s ongoing evolution.
