You Knew Me When come to The Pour House April 7
–You Knew Me When will be performing at The Pour House on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover for the show.
After uprooting from their Nashville home and full-time jobs in June of 2012, the husband and wife duo You Knew Me When set plans to tour the nation for a full year, however; they never stopped.
Since that time they have been serving up their craft brewed compositions coast to coast throughout the USA and into Canada, released their first studio album “You, Me, and the Rest of the World,” and have done all of this as a fully independent entity. Many “miles and memories later,” the duo will release their sophomore album “We Found Roads” on April 14.
Outfitted with an array of instruments, You Knew Me When are a duo that presents a full band sound. While blending their vocals, Karisa, who previously served as a tenured Nashville public school music teacher, provides the piano, ukulele, glockenspiel, and percussive elements, as Cie, who spent several years as the Global Events Manager for Gibson Guitar, supplies the guitar and other rhythmic nuances. The cumulative result is a musical style that blends a singer-songwriter soul with a pop/rock mentality.
You Knew Me When’s latest releases, “The Only You EP” and “We Found Roads,” showcase the musical progression of the duo and the melding of both Karisa and Cie’s musical styles. “The Only You EP” is available exclusively on NoiseTrade. Physical and digital copies of “We Found Roads” are available at www.youknewmewhen.com. The album is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and other online retailers.
